I’m Joshua, founder of Acenci, and I build tech that helps people.

I’ve always been fascinated by technology and the positive impact it can have when designed thoughtfully. I’ve wanted my own technology business since I was young — not for the title, but for the freedom it affords to experiment and create tools that genuinely help people.

In 2021 I noticed a simple but important problem that technology could solve: school house points were being tallied manually in a notebook! This wan’t just occurring at my school, but was illustrative of a broader issue where, lacking a better alternative, schools adopted temporary, though inefficient solutions.

The area that was ripe for automation. Over the next year I designed and built a MVP, conducted pilot tests to learn and iterate, and ultimately delivered a reliable, easy to use, platform. PointDash was commercialised, and Acenci was born.

Acenci is a young company with a big future. I continue to work on new projects, and maintain the same goal: to build privacy-first, user-friendly technology that connects people and solves real problems. I’m proud to build Australian software — made locally, backed by real people — and I’m committed to continually improving Acenci’s products for our valued customers.

I’m always building — and I’m always learning.
